This mini playing card charm red string bracelet is a fun and decorative lucky charm. A long stranded red cotton string with a decorative gold plated carved mini playing card charm available in different card suit symbols tied to its centre.
It is an old Jewish folk custom to wear a thin red string on the left wrist as this is the receiving side of the spiritual body and should be knotted 7 times. The red string is a talisman believed to ward off misfortune brought on by the curse of the evil eye. The colour red is associated with warding off negative energy. Some people believe that the wearer should make a wish when the string is tied onto the wrist and eventually when the red string breaks off due to natural wear and tear, the wish will come true.
